Buy yourself a bundle of easter eggs, eat them and say they're from friends.

"i am vegetarian though"

fry them :)

start lifting weights. Go heavy and don't do that many sets. it worked for me.

Now I have to do the opposite to keep the weight in check :)

Most easter eggs I know are chocolate.

Eat often. It's easier to eat more that way. Make sure you get a good balanced diet, this is harder if you are vegetarian. I take it you don't eat eggs. You could include lots of milk products if you eat those. Pulses such as lentils combine well with grains like rice.

Eat often

If you eat too much you won't be able to stop and you'll have an even bigger problem to cope with. I don't what it contains but drink coke instead of water and snack once daily by eating crisps if you don't like chocolate. Most have the Suitable for vegetarians mark on the back.

Self-control is the key - put on weight but not too much and do it over a long space of time.

When I was a skinny 21 year old I tried drinking beer to put on weight. I ended up looking like this:

I was 5'10" 180# when I graduated high school and in good shape. By the time I graduated college four years later I was the same height but weighed 215# and in prime shape. Our rugby team was fortunate enough to have a nutrition and excercise expert who helped us get into great shape.

There are two things you will need to do to bulk up. First, look at what you are eating. Cut down on sugar. You shouldn't have more sugar than a can of soda and a bowl of ice cream a day. Replace those calories with protien (for building muscle) and starch (for energy). When I was in shape I was eating oatmeal for breakfast, pasta (Bolognese sauce) for lunch and I was eating two chicken breasts a night with rice or potatoes on a regular basis. Since you are vegitarian you will need to find something like tofu to substitue for the chicken. The trouble is you will have to eat a lot of it. Protien shakes are a good addition too. Oh yeah, you have to cut out alcohol and junk food.

Now that you body has the bulding blocks for muscle, you need to build it. As meantioned previously low reps and heavy weight is good for bulking up. Work out in the morning for 45 minutes, and do some cardio in the afternoon, stairmaster, jog, bike, get your heart rate elevated for ten-twenty minutes. The key is being discliplined. You will be bigger in no time.

Ask Barry Bonds for suggestions. My guess, he has some great advice for bulking up. Maybe not healthy advice, but successful stuff anyway.

I'm in the same position - I want extra weight badly. I almost gave up trying because if is to get fat I cannot get over 63kg no matter how much I eat, but also I do not get under 59kg no matter how less. I guess I'll never reach 80kg, especially because of this computer addiction ;)

Also if some you you can give me some suggestions for making life some organised....it seems my life is running so fast....i have very less time for every thing...i wake up at 7:30 in morning and and after getting ready for college at 8:30 i attend college from 9-5 (Bachelors in Electrical Engineering) and in the evening i spend 1 hour with my friends chatting about the days proceeding and coming days plans....and by the time i reach home its about 9 after having quick bath and dinner i study for two hours and then spending time for my websites checking logs...removing some problems and ....and then i go to bed again at about 2:30 or 3 in night ...by the end of day i am fully exhausted....again awaiking up at 7:30 in morning......ready for another day...

What type of planners do you have?
Do you used to have hefty schedules...when you were at college level...what should i do..?

may be this overload is preventing my growth....but i cant really remove any of the activity....from my days schedule...

its getting hard with each days passing by

my day consists of
wake up at 7:00
leave for work at 7:30
work 8-5
get home 5:30
eat dinner 6:
then from around 6-10 i'm normally out with my gf, or friends, or coding, or playing guitar, or whatever. (basically my free time)
10-12 I catch up on forums and sometimes play Counter-strike.
12 - bed

Are you a Lacto Vegetarian, or a Vegan? I can deduce by the fact that you don't eat eggs, that you are not Lacto-Ovo.

My wife is a Lacto-Vegitarian, and I assure you there are plenty of healthy diets out there. She has studied martial arts since she was 14 and is VERY strong, and extremely healthy. I don't worry about breaking her when the play gets a little rough, that's for sure. As-far-as gaining weight? You will be able to do this with training AND diet. One without the other... And you will not succeed.

...i am vegetarian though...

You mean, you eat POOR, DEFENSELESS, PLANTS?!
:o

I'm a carnivore (on Atkins right now, to LOSE weight).

At least animals have teeth and claws and can defend themselves. Plants just sit there defenselessly and wait for us predator humans to pick off their offspring (fruits and vegetables), or their leaves and roots.

Well, that rules out the Wendy's Triple w/Cheese and a bowl of chili with a finger garnish.

Here is my suggestion:

Print 5 copies of your post and put them with important but seldom accessed documents. That way you will keep encountering them now and again in life, which should be good for a laugh if nothing else.

I had the same problem, stick-skinny most of my life.

Get successful, eat better, hire employees to do your hard work, turn 38, and go look in the banking papers again for your post at age 21. (WebmasterWorld doesn't have a laughing emoticon, do they?)

i wish the day comes sooner before i get old.......:)

Get successful, eat better, hire employees to do your hard work,

waiting for that day to relax and just order...

Drink a glass of milk in the morning and a glass in the night before you go to sleep.

What IS it with all these people moaning about not being able to gain weight?!

Don't you know how LUCKY you are?

Most of us (including me) have the opposite problem.

Who was it who said "You can never be too rich or too thin?"
