His was an interesting story of risk, success, failure. One of the few men to start an automobile company in the past 75 years.

Yeah, too bad for him that his cars would suck the white lines off the pavement... (weak rimshot)

I know, I know, that's about as topical as a Nixon joke.

"Would the owner of a grey skoda parked outside please buy a better car"... :)

Seriously tho, I love those cars. And the story behind them.

The drug-trafficking is unforgiveable. Even though he was set up by the police, he WOULD have sold it if not. That doesn't even qualify as desperate measure, that's just immoral!

By the way: Skoda is good value for money! If the brand name is of little importance (which in my opinion it is).

I always had a soft spot for Deloreans.

One of my favorite photos was of a Delorean ... parked in the snow ... with dealer plates. Always made me giggle.

I would STILL kill for a DeLorean. Talk about a nifty (if basically unusable) car....

But then, my short list of "wannahaveones" goes like this: late 60s-mid70's XKE; '65 Corvette; another '72 240Z; anything in "Ferrari"; ditto Lamborghini....

I remember taking the train from Portadown to Belfast (Northern Ireland) which passed the DeLorean factory and seeing hundreds of the DeLorean cars parked row by row.

Impressive sight even if the cars weren't up to much.
