What search engine do you personally use?

My apologies if this is the incorrect forum or if this has been done recently.

Edit:

I personally use Google. Most of my searches are very specific keywords or phrases.

I've tried Yahoo and MSN. Yahoo is decent and has improved a lot since they stopped using Google, but still has a long way to go in my opinion. I don't think I've ever found what I was looking for using MSN's new search. It's terrible from my perspective as a searcher.

Hate to say it ...but ...Google ..the others are just so easy to "game" that I always figure if I can get to the first page with my trix and stuffing and in frames text and other such devious practices ..every body else is probably doing it too ..

To do it in "G" takes more work so you gotta respect the ones who get there a little more ...

Most folks tho don't understand how to use search engines properly for their searches ..and evenless now what the *ù*$$à SEO is ..

Google

I only use the other engines when checking rankings. But if I need to find something, I use the almighty G.

Google is my main one too. I like it because the page loads quickly. If I don't find what I want rather quickly on Google, I move over to Yahoo or MSN. Sometimes I dig around on AltaVista just to see what comes up.

G, but have been adverted to use MSN. It may have all the fancy gadgets but doesn't help me. All the best results come from G.

Never used MSN before it was "improved"

G first, then MSN, for generalized stuff.

isbn.nu for specific author/book searches.

About 15 engines loaded into my search bar in FF for various specialty searches. Overall, even though I use G more than any other engine, I would estimate I use it for less than a third of my searches. The niche engines kick butt for specific areas.

I use a magnifying glass for things smaller than say, a fingernail. I have a telescope if I am looking for planets or ships on the horizon.

Google/Yahoo and sometimes DMOZ.

Google and Yahoo, in that order, unless Google is doing one of its weird annual things, then Yahoo until google settles back down. I've never managed to use MSN for more than one search, usually not even one search, before giving up.

Google/Yahoo and sometimes DMOZ.

Funny that, I'm also finding myself using dmoz (and other directories) more and more when "searching" for something.

If I use a SE, it tends to be Google closely followed by Yahoo!

MSN I don't quite "get" for some reason. Maybe it's still a bit too new.

Google is still really good if you are looking for information on something. However, if you're looking to find a specific place, or purchase a product, it is arguably the worst search engine of the bunch. I'm assuming this is to increase the CTR of Adwords, atleast I'd hope. I can't see how an SE could be so good at one aspect of search and so poor at another.

Hmmm... I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Ask Jeeves (www.ask.co.uk)

That's the one I tend to go to first.
