I'm almost there, 3 years of hard work and I can see web dev from a beach in the not too distant future. That said, I've been poking around the internet looking for potential spots to work out of.
I was looking at belize but it seems they want to tax residents. From signatures on other forums I see a lot of ppl in bahamas.
Any other beach bum webmasters here?

You could always move to Florida. I escaped to Florida from the Peoples' Republic of New Jersey eight years ago (very oppresive STATE taxes in NJ - practically no state taxes in Florida).

Oh yea, and a web associate friend was looking at Belize a couple of years ago. The power grid there is unreliable, so is the phone system and internet access. So she decided to stay put in Floridaland.

Do you have to live in FL for a year in order to be declared a FL resident, and THEN move wherever in the world?

Yes, you are an official Florida resident after one year. We will even let you VOTE after 6 months. (You have to pass the dimpled CHAD test) ;)
