OK, I said I was leaving this place, and probably will. But in the interim a family vacation was announced, and being the nice fellow that I am I decided to hold down the fort while the family that I live with and work for enjoyed their holiday. They are supposed to be returning tomorrow from a trip to Mexico, coming up north thru Arizona, Utah and possibly Montana. Checking the weather I see nothing but heavy rains and lots of snow for almost the entire route.

I'm wondering if there is anyone in the Tucson area, or along any North/South major highways along this route (Tucson to Boise or Tucson to Missoula) that might fill in the gaps and speculation that I get when looking at the radar loops. The TV news seems to be focused on the Sierras, which is NOT on their anticipated route. And I haven't heard a peep from anyone yet since before their scheduled departure from Mexico.

I'm really ready for my vacation to end - it's become way too much work.

I-15 through southern Utah is under heavy snow in spots, light snow in spots, and nothing in spots. Heavy snow north of Cedar City, light snow between St George and Cedar City, nothing from the Nevada line through St George. Can't help you beyond that. Supposed to be SERIOUSLY nasty up through SLC though....

[weather.com...] Plug in 85732 for Tucson and go from there with the other local Zips along the route.

Thanks

I finally got a call this evening. The RV broke down, blew a head gasket or something. Grayhound is doing the driving now. I wonder if they'll be on time...

They all had a great time sitting under the palm trees in sunny Mexico, and now they're all slogging thru the snow and ice with the rest of us. :)

My vacation is over.
