It took me 15 minutes to crack the ice off the windows of my car yesterday, it was a quarter inch thick! And the entire ground was a frigging skating rink - the roads, sidewalks, parking lots... horrible, just horrible. Anyone looking for a bright, hard working SEO in sunny Florida? : )
No thanks, I like the warm weather but hate oppressive heat.
When it gets that cold you just stay inside, drink beer, watch a movie. Nobody dies, nobody's home get gets blown to bits by a hurricane. The cold also kills off all the vermin and bugs. The human species thrives in cold climates, it is the mother of invention.
Love visiting the south, but I also like winter.
i'm with rugles, i'll stay up here in the north land. the cold keeps out the riffraff and kills off many of the damn bugs you find in the south. i can can always put more clothes on for the cold, but can't ever take off enough for the heat of the south.
now if we could just get some snow before christmas!
The cold lets me feel alive, whereas oppressive heat makes me feel dead.
Unfortunately you can get oppressive heat here in Ottawa in the summer as well.
Its so funny that in Pennsylvania, we can get 5 ft in Erie and no one bats an eye but in Harrisburg, if they so much as see a cloud forming 100 miles away, the city shuts down!
<added>That'd be 5 ft of snow. With all this talk of nipplage, I didn't want anyone to think the wrong thing! Well, at least not on my account.</added>
My best friend went to college on the shore of Lake Ontario, and told me about the time where they were getting 2 feet an hour. Ended up with over 5 ft that day, and got another foot the next day.
And now it's 55 degrees in Boston on Dec. 23rd. Go figure.
Would not be Canada then would it.
Weather related ecommerce problem. UPS called and said "no trucks to the USA today". Now its serious, our customers are going to have some delays in getting their packages. Good thing we cut-off xmas deliveries at the begining of the week.
