at least you're still in plural. the worst is 1 degree...one solitary lonesome degree.

now if you only had a good local search engine to find the nearest bar w/ a fireplace.

HA! I thought it was a typo and he meant to write 30* (celcius of course).

It's been warm here in Chicago. I went to a Bears game on Sunday and didn't even need a coat!

24C and 83% humidity here in Brisbane - it's not even summer yet!

note to any weather gods who may be reading - can we have rain soon please? It's getting fairly humid. ;)

almost 3 degrees today

Jake, you're either:

1) Sitting in a sauna
2) Overdoing the Motown, or probably
3) Counting in funny money again. ;)

It actually is hot over here - the temperature has jumped from minus 26 two days ago right up to minus 7 (in real money!) today, along with a light sprinkling of about 30cm of snow. Anyway, until you've been out for a walk when there is a wind-chill factor of minus 45 or lower , then you haven't really experienced winter!

Was 10 below a week ago when we pulled our trailer out of the area where we were elk hunting. Real heat wave today: got up to 41.... (all degrees in fahrenheit, btw).

Yuck! There I was, coldest winter in 20 years while going through basic training in RTC, Great Lakes, Illinois. December through February (the coldest months). One morning at about 0400 while chipping away on the Grinder, -100 degrees with the wind chill factor. Seriously. Went to the chow hall, walked through the door, something in the eye, rubbed the eye and boom, eyelashes gone! They just broke right off. And they told us not to touch our eyes for at least 30 seconds after coming in from weather like that. Doh!

Okay, back to the topic, if I remember correctly, the original one ran for about a month or two and just would not stop. Some were begging to please make it stop. It really stunk around here.

(It was) 9C here on the wet coast - where we keep the snow (and associated chill) on the mountaintops where it belongs.

Now to schedule the rain to fall only between midnight and dawn ...

The fire is crackling (scent of burning yellow cedar) and the mulled wine smells ready and company is coming so goodnight and happy dreams to all.
