Lower than pond scum since pond scum floats on top of the pond. The turds? They inhabit the bottom ;-).
Bassturd: Descriptive. Evocative. In a sense synonymous with the word's progenitor.
So, what can you add to the list? How can we wreck the human language further? Some day will these creations also fall within the list of the 7 words you cannot say on radio and TV?
1) Bassturd.
2)?
Create or add your word. Can call to mind the original word but without being frankly the same or without being a homonym. Should, in it's creation, be whimsical or humorous mocking of the original. Should be suitable for speaking to your children.
Not on point, but calls to mind something my father once spewed out the car window at someone who cut him off "You mean miserable cow turd". He was pissed and we, my brother and sister, all sitting in the back seat, were at once terrified and amused by the intensity of sentiment. After a minute passed our mother asked in rhetorical amazement "Did you just yell 'Mean miserable cow turd?'", at which point we all broke out laughing - including my father.
This new word is an insult to someone who has just did something to really annoy you like cutting you off (like the guy who did it to your dad.)
Origin:
It's really an acronym derived from a strange but true story. A guy I know was in the waiting room of a doctor's surgery (of all places!) a few years ago and he witnessed this interesting exchange. A real drongo of a guy who was also in the queue got into an argument with someone else and exclaimed, "Away and fry your @rse!" (or @ss if you like.)
So, next time someone noises you up just let them have it ... AAFYA!
