I'm thinking about a 17" laptop for web development. It has to be PC. Any experiences welcomed.

HP zd7100 2-3 months ago and I love it!

It did have a wiggly power cable but I called and got another within a week so no real harm done. After using it can say it's big, it's heavy, and you'll probably need to buy a new case. Think of it more as a very portable computer, instead of laptop and you'll be closer to the mark.

If you do any sort of design work, use Firefox with the developer toolbar, so you can size it down to 1024 or 800 with just a mouse click.

If you have a more specific question let me know here or via sticky, I'll tell you anything you want to know.

I've got a HP zd7000 and love it. Won't fit in any off-the-shelf laptop bag so I tote mine in a video equipment bag when traveling.

Definitely recommend a usb trackball as graphic work with a touchpad is frustrating at best.
