Design clean sites then spend a few hours trying to figure out how to fix the bugs for IE.

RAAH! *pulls out some more hair*

I think this is miscategorized, in Foo no less. Curious . . . This should be in HTML and Browsers.

hmm, I didn't think it deserved a legitimate thread. Just felt like doing some "virtual yelling" in a tabbed window.

Perhaps I should have titled it something like:

"How Internet Explorer can lead to premature baldness (a new independent study)".

:P

And sometimes some of us have to design pretty for NN4.x too.

On the one hand the %$#@! that don't/won't/can't upgrade their browsers and the %$#@! that stop developing/maintaining their browsers are a %$#@! pain.

On the other hand the difficulties justify my charges.

If just anyone could do it I might actually have to find a job ... <shudder> ... commute ... <sob> ... work well with others ... <catatonic withdrawal> ...

Even when life is one big bowl of cherries the pits are still with us.

hehe now that's what I'm talking about :P I have the luxury of doing the design for my own sites only so I don't worry about visitors driving browsers that use stone tires and foot propulsion.

@ 92% usage of IE unfortunately the best I can do is curse and complain.

Maybe I should start doing browser based discounts. 5% off for checking out using mozilla & 7% for using safari. :P

I think we can stop now testing for IE. Nobody with clear mind uses IE anymore. All people use Firefox, Mozilla or Opera nowadays.

Haha- That's not a bad idea. Don't know about 5% though. Maybe $5.

If E-Bay or Amazon did that, Moz would have a tough time keeping their servers up under the load, and IE would be stampeded off the net....

Hmmmm....

Anyone got a petition I can sign?

heheh, petitiononline was an existing domain, but if you look at the URL extension for the actual petition, I managed to sneak in a bit of leet
