People in the UK still listen to Radios?
They will stop listening to radios when they get those newfangled TVs to watch.

Mind you, the (relative) low quality of the TV version didn't stop me and a colleague walking out of a course to watch an episode, when it was first shown in the early 1980s (no video recorders then, kiddywinks). We had been broken up into teams and set some work to prepare for the next day. Tony and I announced to our team leader that everything had to be done and dusted before nine o'clock, as we were going to watch the Hitchhikers' Guide, no matter what. If the team hadn't finished by then, the two of us wpuld simply walk out. I don't think she believed us. Her expression at 8.58, when we left the room, her not having got the team to complete the task, was a treat. Not that she'd got them much further when we reappeared at 9.30, so we might as well have been watching the telly anyway.
Douglas Adams, of course, died while working on the film version. This wasn't the first attempt at one, and he'd walked out of several previous negotiations (including one where a Hollywood producer had suggested Hugh Grant as Arthur Dent).
I look forward to the film, and to my expectations of disappointment being proved ill-founded.
BTW, for those unfortunate to have missed yesterday's broadcast, it was superb!
