I now know why I procrastinate so very very well ...
I am a major dopamine producer ...

[news.bbc.co.uk ]

"The monkeys under the influence of the treatment don't procrastinate."

The treatment consists of blocking an important brain chemical - dopamine.

I especially like the closer:

But for the rest of us, the day when such treatments fall into the hands of our bosses may be one we would prefer to put off.

Boy that would be a hard thing to sell. Everybody that needs it would keep putting off buying it until tomorrow.

Haldol is a dopamine blocker... if you suddenly start feeling more productive, you should check your internet cache to make sure nobody in the house has been placing any suspicious pharmaceutical orders. ;)

Great, it's already hard enough to get a two week vacation here when the rest of the world gets more. Let's spike the water and move to a two day vacation. ;)

If your immediate reaction on reading this was "Yeah, I'll check that out tomorrow", then... no need to worry :)

(Sudden thought: why did I post this so promptly?)

heheheheh

If your immediate reaction on reading this was...
...to flick your tongue repeatedly around your mouth, or some other severe facial tic, you may want to check it out immediately.

I wonder if any of the monkeys developed tardive dyskinesia with the genetic treatment?

(...why did I post this so promptly? You're not twitching, are you?)
