Here's the scenario ...

Hard drive crashes... able to recover all of my previous outlook express mailboxes in their whatever.dbx forms.

Purchased a new computer and now want to bring these old dbx files into the my new outlook express settings?

Does anybody know how this can be done?

Copy the dbx files to a folder on your new machine, name it OEold or whatever (I usually use OE and the date so I know what I've got from where).

From within OE, click File/Import. You have choices for Address Book, Messages, etc.

Choose Messages (can't do both at once), follow the wizard's prompts, navigating to the folder in which you stored the dbx files.

Repeat for Address Book if you were able to save it as well. If not, you can just right click on messages and choose "Add Sender to Address Book" to recover at least some of your contact list.
