Good decision or bad decision for all the beer drinkers here?

Both of these companies brew industrial beer brands. So I guess it wont affect much anyone in UK. :)

I think the benefits for them will be marginal. I believe Coors has only one brewry in Colorado. By transfering part of their production in Canada, they could save a little to deliver the goods in northen parts of US.

I think it is a veiled attempt to ship Canadian water to the US ;)

Irrelevant decision to this beer drinker... don't drink either of their products.

There is nothing veiled about shipping Canadian beer to the Yanks. About a mile from where I am sitting is a major highway that heads to the border. You can see Molson and Labatt trucks traveling to the border all day long.
You can buy Canadian beer in just about every grocery store in the USA. We are taking over!
But, just a note to my American neighbors, the beer we brew for you is not the full-strength stuff we have up here.

I am with mivox on this, either Molson's, Coor's, Labatt's, Stella Artois, TsingTao or Budweiser's, industrial beer is dead beer to me.

There's an error in that article:

Neither has a low-carb offering

Coors does. It's called "Aspen Edge".

Doesn't affect me though - I'm a strict Stella drinker. :) I'll have Macguru's share, too. ;-)

Ok, you can take away those 20 something extra pounds I suffer from because I enjoy real home brew. :)

I very rarely buy 'beer'. I buy malted grains, hoppes, yeast, some bleach (for clean sterile bottles) and a touch of gipsum.

I dont want a fight here, but wich real brewer in a sane mind would bottle 'beer' in green colored or clear bottles?

That is insane!

As soon you see a 'beer' bottled in such miserable conditions, avoid it!

I don't do "beer". I do Guinness. (And various German brand Hefe-Weizens....)

some bleach

Reminds me of dialog in "No Time For Sergeants"

Will Stockdale:... you know, corn, grain, some kerosene.

Sgt. King: Kerosene?!

Will Stockdale: Just a mite, for flavorin'.

Could do, Carling is the biggest selling beer in the UK, and is owned by Coors!

Yes beer is very senstive to light. Ever had a Stella or a Corona that tasted 'skunky'?

>>Carling is the biggest selling beer in the UK

Ouch! my esteem for Brits just dropped a huge notch. How can this be possible in a country where we brew some of the bests ales in the world?

Ever tasted ANY beer that was skunky? Prolonged light exposure and hot/cold fluctuation will kill any beer. Keep it in the brown bottle at 38F. Makes my mouth water.

As for the Coors/Molson marriage... can't say I care much. Coors is garbage, as is Molson (although I'll take a few XXX any day). As long as Labatt's doesn't do anything stupid like that, I will stay a happy man.
