Seriously, sometimes I enjoy working in an enviornment other than my office; I routinely go to a local coffee house here that's open late and offers free Wi-Fi.

Tonight, however, I could use a beer. But I still have work to do. Thus, the perfect solution would be a beer and wi-fi.

But, no beer and wi-fi for me. So I'll just take the beer I guess. Cheers!

We have a bar with wi-fi in Fairbanks. :)

Don't go there though. I'd be afraid of something getting spilled on my laptop. I bring books and sketchpads to bars.

There are a couple of bars in my town that are doing it - i have'nt been in yet but i thought it would be funny to have a little hack at what ever was connecting

They probably feel if you need the wi-fi, then you wont be needing more than a few beers.

I am most impressed.
If I actually could blank out the distractions enough to work my coffee would go cold, my beer flat ... the first is a misdemeanour but the other ...!

Several bars I go to in Osaka have wireless. I usually use their PC instead of bringing my own.

we're up to about 5 bars that offer Wi-Fi in portland (ME) - good pubs/brewing company style places too, plus some coffee & sandwich shops with spill over.

There are literally dozens of bars and nightclubs in Austin with free Wi-Fi.

Apparently, we've become the Free Wi-Fi Capital of the World!

This is starting to be a common thing in the Uk. One company is putting a wireless connection in a machine called the It Box, this has games on it as well and is in a lot of pubs over here. Here is a wi-fi pub locater for this specific company:

Come over to Hong Kong... plenty of bars with open wi-fi connections. We also get some of the best varieties of alcohol from Europe and the rest of the world. :)

The hotel bar at orlando pubcon had wi-fi. Perhaps you should look for a bar in a nearby hotel? Also a bar in an airport should have wi-fi. Don't spill. :)
