So my 5 year old has her first loose tooth, and I figured we better be prepared. Whats the going rate with the tooth fairy these days? When I was kid i got 50 cents, I'm sure the rates have gone up a little since then.

NO clue. My youngest granddaughter is 7. *shrug* Her last lost tooth was a while back.... I think she got a "silver dollar from Las Vegas".... but they live in Germany, and she's only been to the states twice, so it was a big deal to her.....

Ah, my ex would do 50 cents or a dollar, depending on what he had in his pocket at the moment.

We gave my son something like $1.50 - - - in quarters... He loves quarters and was thrilled. (remember you're setting a precedent for all those teeth to follow ;))

I used to get 75c back in the 80's, has it gone up or down? ;)
