Hi,

Thanks for replying to message about web design. Somebody mentioned that it was also possible to earn an income on ebay. Can someone explain how to go about doing this? Also, are there any other good ways to make an income online from home.

I am going to try and find out some basic web design and computer programming to see which one I want to pursue.

Regards

Andrea, I went to Amazon and did a search for ebay and there are piles of results. There are some books written on exactly your interest.

As far as web design goes you could play with some free tutorials. If you do a google search for John Gilson you will find he has some nice free html tutorials. I used them 3 years ago and they were nice. He is a great guy.

I tried ebay once upon a time its very competitive unless you can offer a price below everyone else. And you are all normally getting it from the same place at the same price. Very minimal pay for alot of work.

You would be surprised. Often if you start low, once people start bidding, they will not want to loose, especially right at the end. If it is a high-end fashion item or brand name, you can do well.

Of course like a good marketing person, you have to have products that people would want to buy. Try something you collect or are interested in. Watch Ebay for a few weeks on that category of items. What brands go for the most money? What has the most people bidding on it? (Much of it is about having the right brands, and getting to know your prospective customers.)

When you have the bidding close is also important. Have it close at a time when people are home and willing to enter a bidding war on the computer. Perhaps after work? After dinner? On the weekend?
