That's a fairly standard rate across the US for daily high-speed access in hotels that don't offer it complimentary.

Luxor was the same price, was there 2 weeks ago. Annoying thing was you had to close down IM, MAIL and any other stuff that connects in the background, log in.
REALLY ANNOYING THING network cable was in a retractable coil box, was all of 6' long. I had to sit on the edge of the bed, lean slightly forward and the cable was just long enough to reach the laptop.
