Gutsy win on the road. I was at the Corel center for game 6 last night between Ottawa and Toronto, and I swear the building was shaking it was so loud.

As a neo-Québécois, I still haven't got into this hockey lark. To me, it just looks like a bunch or overpaid golfers chasing a lump of rubber around an ice-rink and hitting it (and each other) with wooden sticks. I can't quite see the point... however, "la fièvre du hockey" has even reached the proud supporters of the Nordiques up here in the frozen north.

At least hockey is easier to follow than the CFL, where you have a bunch of guys wearing motorcycle helmets who stand around for hours in the middle of a field, then occasionally form groups and run into each other, all while the commentator shouts out a string of seemingly random figures.

>Maple Geeks <

::cough::

I'm a card carrying member of Leaf nation.

How do you get a Montreal player to go into the corners?

Go Flames!

Err, I think. Are we still in the playoffs? I think they're going to take my citizenship away. I haven't watched a hockey game in years.

I prolly shouldn't mention that in a public forum. I'll have CSIS investigating me for un-Canadian activity.

Been to all the Calgary Flames home games so far... here's hoping Cujo is the non-big-game-goalie that I think he is! :P

The hockey fever is really picking steam during the series here in Montréal. Some people where lining up all night outside to get the next games tickets. You could see students reading their books with a flashlight in the crowd.

They busted the phone reservation system busy.

Scalpers will do good business during the next days...
