Laptop w/ detachable bays

I've seen it - who makes it?

I saw a computer a while ago which was in two sections. The top was an ultraportable, the bottom was the rest of the bays. You could either take the entire laptop with you for full functionality, or just take the top which was basically an ultraportable. Note, the bottom is not a docking port/port replicator.

I can't remember who makes it, and can't find it on any websites - anyone know who makes this, and if it's a good machine?

My budget for my new machine is around $3500, and I would like an ultraportable for flying, and full functionality laptop for local business or long term trips.

Have you looked into the Dell Inspiron 300m, or Latitude D800 (or any of the D-series)?
