MountainBoards- The New Extreme Sport?

Anybody ride one of these things?

Just stumbled across one while shopping online, anybody here ride these things? Looks kinda like snowboarding w/o the snow.

They look [images.google.com] pretty damn fun. I saw these being used on a shropshire gravel pit once. You need skin a tough as rhino!

Is quite a big thing in some areas of the UK - down to there being no natural piste anywhere.

good fun if you're into board sports.

just watch out for the turf burn--you can get some pretty nasty abrasions on one of those contraptions.

i haven't gone land surfing in about five years, don't think i will ever again. i'm not made of rubber anymore!
