I've been looking into online job bidding sites. So far all of the ones that I have found, and that relate to web development type jobs, have been not too impressive.

Why would I bid on a job for an 'employer' who remains anonymous during the bidding process. This is insane! Why are people who have genuine work to be done afraid to reveal their identity?

The only bidding site where employers actually reveal who they are, and so build trust, is on a language translation bidding board, [proz.com...]

On that site it is also possible for those who do the work to provide feedback for others about these employers, ie. did they pay? were they responsive and easy to work with?

I have yet to come across a bidding site related to IT that works as professionally as Proz.

Please let me know if there is a site that is as professionally run as Proz and is for IT professionals. If there isn't one, maybe it's time for some enterprising person to pick up the ball and run with it. Here is an opportunity to differentiate yourself from the chaff that is out there for people like us.

Froggy.

Alas, that amazing site can do nothing for us techies unless you are a linguist.

However, if you are interested in building a job bidding site that really works, then this is the one you should take as a model.
