Kilimanjaro

Anyone Here Climbed it?

I know some of you venture away from the web at times and I was just wondering if any of you had climbed Kilimanjaro.

I ask as it is something that I am thinking of doing (maybe:)). I need to do something mad and as skydiving scares the hell out of me, that leaves the Great Wall or something like Kilimanjaro. So that is why I am asking.

No but i have been very close to it, looked up at it and decided that mountain climbing is not for me. Had a ciggie instead. Its a very impresive sight, itd be worthing seeing from the summit.

I haven't personally - but I know a few who have including my uncle - It is supposed to be a very tough but exhilerating climb - but not for the inexperienced.

If you are looking for a bit of action in East Africa I highly recommend white water rafting on the Nile. That is one hell of a trip! I did this three years ago and now I go rafting when ever I can - but the UK does not hold challenges or rapids on the scale of Bugujali falls! but there are other destinations in europe such as the pyrenees.
