apologies to those of you in other climes, especially if you are just back from Florida ;-)

Three weeks ago the crocuses started blooming but the deer came along and ate them ... so I figured that meant another six weeks of winter (sort of the wet coast version of the groundhog's shadow) ... but last week I saw the first honeybee of the year, first fawn of the year, an eagle flying with a branch bigger than itself, first slug of the year, the neighbours are lambing, the crocuses are blooming again and the daffodils are too ... and today I had to cut the grass ... I think spring has sprung.

I had no problem working when the rain was beating on the roof (we got two days of slush (can't really call it snow) and a few more days of frost and that was it this winter) but it is very hard to bear down when the sun is shining and thoughts of sailing or beachcombing keep intruding.

But I have the world's worst boss who abuses me terribly and so I cringe back to the keyboard and mutter my mantra: clean code, simple code, validate or compile code, I love code, I love code .. ad nauseum.

Hmmm.....

Just got back from a skiing trip and was 15cm of new snow in Austria and 2cm in Prague.

Did someone say spring has sprung, I think it did but went again.

florida was cold and rainy the whole time except saturday, while Canada had the warmest weather all winter, and all the ice melted on the Rideau Canal while I was away, so I missed my chance. sigh.

It is awesome here in the Mid-Atlantic of the US. We've had 70 degrees and sun. The sun has been most welcome. Too much rain and snow this winter.

I have my windows open! (Nice to have an office where you can open the window.)

Dosn't seem like spring here. I have grapes on the vine, and plums and apples on the trees.

But then everything is upside down down under!
Be careful ... your "fall" is coming ;-)
