Don't know where to put this.

In My MS windows Network i have a single workgroup which I don't recognise. I also for some reason do not have admin rights to it.

Can anyone tell me what it might be, (i am non tech so am a bit concerned)

How big's the network? Could there be a machine on there you didn't authorise? Do you have a wireless access point? Is the network connected to the internet at all? Do you connect to any other networks (e.g. by VPN)?

In MS windows its pretty easy to create a workgroup. If there is a computer in the network that specifies a workgroup other than the one that already exists, windows creates another workgroup. I have about 4 machines in my apartment and I manage to make 2-3 different workgroups because I forget what I the last workgroup was. So some user might be making these workgroups that you are not aware of.
