Google hand-tweaking a google bomb?

Knuckling under to GOP, or just a renegade supporter?

I just read about a googlebombing of "miserable failure" pointing to Dubya's bio. Not that I support such nonsense...

Now, mysteriously, the first link, and subsequently the "I'm feeling lucky" button goes to Michael Moore - arch enemy of the prez.
Interesting...

update: nevermind.. supporters bombing back, and assuming moore at the root of it (not)

If this is retaliation, I dunno, free traffic for Moore. ;-)

there's always some manual tweak at Google, so I would doubt if it didn't happen this time.

The only reason I can see someone would want to optimize for 'miserable failure' are ego, humor, or a combination of both. Since there would be very little real competition for that word, it's the equivilant of shooting fish in a barrel. Are there any google bombs for real keywords/phrases?

There are, but then we're not Google bombing but spamming the search engine. ;-)
