Is there a way to convert a divx to mpeg or antoher format that can be viewed on a dvd player not on a pc?

If you want to legally archive DVDs that you own, you can use tools like:

With a DVD "burning" program, like Nero and such - the 2 programs mentioned above will use the Nero engine to burn if it is installed.
