Let me preface by saying I regularly make ganache and when I have guests over I want to impress, I make creme brule with a propane torch from the hardware store (none of those wimpy kitchen kiddie torches)

But as far as I'm concerned there's nothing better than a bowl of chocolate pudding with a dallop of cool whip (ok really a big ole' mound of cool whip, but don't tell anyone, ok).

Mine would be Tiramissu - eventhough I LOVE all the french patisseries like eclair au chocolat, cafe and the like ;)

Tiramisu is hard to beat- but a late night flourless chocolate cake is my favorite. And there's a place down the street that does a raspberry gooey butter cake that can be a whole meal any time of the day for me.

The only similarity is that it's deep fried, other than that, it isn't much like deep fried ice cream. I've got the recipes for both on one of my websites.
