Someone needs to tell NASA that the majority of people are still not on broadband and their huge flash site is a pain to navigate.

Especially since part of their efforts these days are aimed at getting kids to the site. How many kids do you know have the luxury of surfing on a T1 at work?

They do have "low-bandwidth" and "non-flash" options available but seem to be operating on the basis of "here come all the bells and whistles as default - if too much for you then choose fewer from here on" rather than "here we are in a basic friendly mode - if you want you can choose more or less bandwidth intense options from here on".

The index page could be friendlier by giving the options there. The implication (not true) is that without the latest Flash the site is not viewable.

Their approach is a regrettably common one - IMO backa$$wards.
They also seem to look at "low-bandwidth" as "text only" which is silly.
