Apparently the Danish search engine Jubii forgot to renew their domain which expired last week. DK-Hostmaster, who handles all .dk-domains responded by turning it off, along with another 13.000 domains that hadn't payed their bill either.

DK-hostmaster did not turn Jubi back on again untill one of their employees arrived in a taxi with 75 kr. (10 Euros) to pay the one year renewal of the domain.

Such blunders are forgiveable when they are made by small websites run by one person, especially such websites that have not taken contractual responsibilities on them.

But a large commercial website with many employees, millions of visitors and thousands of outbound links, that have often been payed for? Very embarrasing.

I mean, once I have a site like that, why not spend the 100 euros and pay 10 years in advance? or tick the little "auto renew" boX?!?!

I don't get it...

(goes of to tick that box on his 50000 page websites)
