Dude, hmmm ... i have a Lisa ... if yours is working ok and looking better than mine (which isn't looking very nice anymore - more green than beige due to lots of nicotine) ... hmm ...

ru serious?

Btw, the pad is original 1988 - sold at ebay by Chris Derossi who created the pads himself. It comes with a certificate written by Mark "The Red" Harlan himself. :)

My skin gets more and more green pigments... Can you imagine Hulk with a jaleous pout?

Only in case of emergency. :)

Yidaki, please, dont smoke around it or drool over it, ever!

Better to duck, Troels.

The 160 lbs, 1/2 " thick Lexan display case around the flying mouse pad could hurt you... :)

No way! I'll keep it in its original package! :)

C'mon my knee capper, here some more pics for ya:
Certificate [homepage.mac.com]
Certificate full view [homepage.mac.com]

Ya can take more? Here we go:

So what's in the bag?

1. A few molecules of air from 1988.  (I recommend sniffing before breaking the staples.)

2. A super high quality dogcow mousepad ... This isn't one of those neoprene junkers, this is has a hard(er) plastic surface on top and won't absorb your Mountain Dew sweat when you (inevitably) put your can on there.  It'll outlast you -- especially if you spend all your time reading eBay listings.

3. The original insert card for the mousepad (this is what shows the number of the pad).  This would be only three items I ever wrote about the dogcow.
Now here's the deal.  Chris is auctioning them off one at a time.  Lowest serial number first.  The numbers range from 5 to 50.  This is the lowest one, dude.  Number 5.  Do you know anyone with a pad numbered under 100?  Of course not.  You only know one person that has anything even close to this, and he won't even talk to you.

To sweeten the deal, Chris and I will include a signed certificate of authenticity, printed on recycled U.S. currency, saying this is the real deal and including a fact about Clarus that has never before seen the light of day (meaning I'll just make something up, just like I did when I wrote Tech Note 31  [developer.apple.com...] In the words of Joost Kemink, "Dang."
Thanks for reading, thanks for bidding,
Mark "The Red" Harlan

Disclaimer: allthough it's paid, i still don't hold it in my hands. Deal was made last night. However, if Chris would cheat me (i highly doubt), we would at least have a proof here at WebmasterWorld to show to our children. :)

hehehe, neat. I'm about to set up a little online museum with pictures and descriptions of my old macs and collectibles. Ya wanna publish a funny picture of your hat there, too? ;)

My Grub T-shirt & my Urkel sleeping bag would go nice with a Dogcow crypto shirt.
