Paris, advice please

Any Parisians in the house, need a bit of advice:

1, Distance from Paris de Gaulle(CDG) airport > Eiffel Tower?

2, Best transport method, time and cost?

Distance: A bit more than 20 kms. Given the traffic, it takes up to 45 mins to get to downtown.

Best tranport method: Depends on how much luggage you have. If you don't have much, fastest would probably be the RER (parisian high-speed subway). You can find a map here: http://www.paris.org/Metro/gifs/rer01.map.jpg. The airport is at the beginning of the blue line (B3) and you would have to change at St-Michel Notre-Dame unto the yellow line (C) to the station Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel. Whole thing takes about an hour.

There also are shuttle busses, but I don't think they go to the Eiffel Tower. Else there is always the taxi option.

Sorry, I don't know, never taken the taxi. I would estimate about 50 Euro, but that's more a guess than anything else.

I just got back from Paris, if you take a taxi from CDG to the Notre Dame area it is about 35 Euro. So I would assume that $50 Euro to the Eiffel Tower would be about right.
