A one wheeled (ala Segway) motorcycle:

Kinda reminds me of a mechanical something or other from Star Wars that was actually alive?

Sleek design and I'm sure once the rider breaks from contemporary balance, posture and stance would ride pretty nice on those long smooth winding roads.

Man, that thing is simply beautiful.

Pendanticist.

Kicks Segway's A**

adds a dash of flair absent in the Segway, which we as car nuts find slightly nerdy

powered by a hydrogen fuel cell

Ha! Ha!

Although they need to change the name. Riding an Embrio doesn't have the right ring to it.

Awesome! Remember the bikes they used in the movie Tron? Just the coolest design i can imagine - would look pretty nice in the garage next to the bugatti veron. wrrrrrrroooooooom.

Although Bombardier says the gyroscopes are enough to balance the Embrio, the vehicle is also kept longitudinally stable by a smaller wheel that operates like an airplane's landing gear. It touches the ground when the vehicle is stopped or just starting. Once the Embrio is in motion, the landing gear will retract when the vehicle reaches about 12 mph. During braking, the gear redeploys when the vehicle slows to 12 mph.

So, you end up looking like riding a tricycle backwards, under a given speed. How Macho! :) I dont see most motorcycle gang members as switchers, yet. Plus, these "airplane's landing gear mounted training wheels", will certainlly add to cost.

I really like the idea of hydrogen combustion. It makes a lot of sense. I wonder when regular motorcycle companies will pop such engines on regular bikes. Most bikers have a rebel side...

I want one.

I heard recently that fuel cells only waste is water vapor, but that water vapor is actually a greenhouse gas that causes the same problems as other greenhouse gasses...

hmm, water vapor as a greenhouse gas is a very interesting query at google.

That wont stop me from sweating away all the water vapor I like on my regular bicycle.

Neat concept, but it doesn't look like it will hold two people like they claim.... Maybe two very little people...

Remember the bikes they used in the movie Tron?

This is more like the bike from Tron. [allpar.com]

Heh, just outside of daytona there is a bar called 'the cabbage patch'. Every year during bike week, hundreds of bikers come and party in a field behind the bar. One of the events they have is 'unicycle racing' where they basically chop a motorcycle in have and have it drag them around on a seld in a race.

not as cool as this techno-thing, but it just happened to pop into my mind.
