Army of Darkness, hands down.
And if you can, find the first two in the series.

Evil Dead 1 and 2 (dead by dawn).

The most fun you will ever have being grossed out.

Chain Reaction is scary?

Definitely go for Army of Darkness

Chain Reaction is scary?

Only if you are frightened by bad acting and poor plot development.

Well double poo to you too! : )~~

It's just camp, and if that is not your style, so be it.

28 Days Later

Saw it last night and would highly recommend it on a scary movie night.

Yah! They are all scary films for kids. If you want to see some proper scary movies then check out either The Ring or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Guarenteed not to sleep for weeks.

Great gross-out movie: Dead Alive

Sort of EvilDeadish, and filmed in New Zealand, I believe.

I must say, Evil Dead rules!

Scary movies

1. The Ring
2. Event Horizon
3. The Cell - okay, not very scary but sick. Twisted
4. 28 Days Later
5. Halloween 1
5. Re-animator - again, not scary but funny and gross.

The Haunting is great stuff (that's the 1963 version, right?).

Evil Dead 3 (Army of Darkness) was a bit hollywood. Not as gritty as the first two.
