A knight was heading home from completing a "mission"... It was late, and both he and his horse was getting tired. In the distance he some lights flickering, and decided to ride closer. The lights came from a monestary...

The knight got off his horse, knocked the door, and this young monk opened the door. The knight explained his situation and inquired as to whether he could spend the night at the monestary. The young monk told him that would be ok and gave the knight a banana, an apple, and a bed to sleep in.

Late at night the knight was woken up by some strange noises. He went to the window to see what was going on. A big fat monk was jumping around outside. "I need to figure out what's going on with this monk," he said to himself as he ran down the stairs.

All of a sudden the monk jumped over the wall! This wall was very tall. In fact, it was so tall, that the knight could impossibly jump or climb over it. He decided to return home and practise for a week.

When he returned to the monestary he once again asked if he could spend the night. They gave him a banana, an apple, and a bed to sleep in.

Late at night he heard this strange noise from outside. It was the fat monk jumping around. The knight ran down the stairs! He jumped after the monk, over the wall. Next they came to a forest. This forest was very old, and the knight soon got lost inbetween all the trees and bushes. The monk was long gone. The knight decided to return home and practise for a week.

Next they came to a lake. This lake was very big. There was no way the knight could swim across it. But the monk was already on the other side. The knight decided to return home and practise for a week.

The monk was already half-way to the top, but the knight could impossibly follow him. So he decided to return home and practise for a week.

The knight ran down the stairs, jumped after the monk, over the wall, ran after him, through the forest, swam across the lake, climed the mountain! Next they came to a river. The river was very wild, and the current would undoubtedly pull the knight with it if the knight were to attempt crossing the river. So he decided to return home and practise for a week.

The abyss was very wide. The knight knew he could never jump over to the other side. But the monk was already out of sight. So he decided to return home and practise for a week.

Exhausted the knight exclaimed, "You know what? I've been chasing you for weeks now, desperate to talk to you! I need to ask you something..."
"Go ahead," replied the monk.
"Well, no offense... How come you have been able to do all these things... I mean, you're a monk, and a fat one at that! I'm a knight, well trained... But you constantly had me beat! What is your secret?"
"If you promise not to tell anyone, I will tell you my secret..."

Since the knight was an honest man, he never told anyone...
