I say it's the Cubbies and BoSox, any comments?

Not judging Pedro one way or the other on that - but I won't miss him taking the mound tonight!

I definitely agree....it should make for a heated and intense game.

Still, he through a 70+yr old man to the ground and has not apologized. Heat of the moment or not, a little respect would really bolster my opinion of him.

I'm really tired of people and media playing that angle...."That poor 70 year old man".....That poor old 70 year old man ran directly for him and swatted at him.

Self-defense, pure and simple.

I agree that he should apologize for his actions.....but I think that anyone would do the same in that situation.

As a sox fan for the past 26 years this is the world series as far as I'm concerned. It just doesn't get any better. It'll be 9 innings of near cardiac arrest.

I can still rattle off the batting order of the 78 Sox.

These playoffs have been a great thing for baseball, to bad the idiots will do something stupid like go on strike next year.

Make that kid who got in the way the other night pay for all the lost revenue the Cubs would have had!

What would you do if you had a fat guy barreling towards you?.....I bet you'd do the same thing Pedro did in that situation.

70 years old or not, if he were charging me, hands up like he was going to deck me I would've hit him square in the jaw. That 70 year old man, had he connected, could've done some serious damage to Pedro. Zimm should count his blessings, apologize to Pedro and thank him for not knocking him out. Since when does someone defending himself have to apologize for defending himself? Oh I know, when the aggressor is a YANKEE!

The Marlins should give him front row tickets to every World Series Game!

roscoepico, me and you are on the same exact page. ;)

He didn't leave Pedro much choice. Should he take a punch? Run away like a baby? Come on, neither of those are an option. I did sorta feel bad for the guy though, crying at the PC when he apologized:(

Make that kid who got in the way the other night pay for all the lost revenue the Cubs would have had!

I'll assume you all are joking about this kid actually causing the Cubs demise? Shoddy defense, terrible starting pitching, losing 3 games in a row - two at home, that wouldn't have anything to do with it.....

Great post season baseball this year. Let's hope it continues:) Gooooo Red Sox!

I am not arguing that Pedro is a bad guy or anything. I would have done close to the same thing. I just think that the professional and gentlemanly thing to do would be to apologize for the entire incident. Zimmer did, and with good reason. A 72yr old man should know better.

I think the fact that he has not is only going to hurt his reputation.

It was especially nice to see cocky little Pedro get left in there to get shelled like that.

Even though we didn't win, that was a fantastic game and a great series.

Umm...were you watching the same game? How about "Rocket" being pulled out in the 4th inning after being smacked around? :)

Wow!

There was a baseball game at the Stadium last night. The second best pitcher in Boston history gets knocked out of the game by the fourth inning. The third best should have been hit hard early on, he dominates instead, then hangs around for a couple of batters too many.

What a season, what a series, what a rivalry.

And it was just good baseball last night. No tempers, no hassle. I'm sure Mayor Mike was relieved, considering his "should have been arrested" comment; got him out of a possible sticky spot.

Well, it's the Stadium again. A Saturday night fish fry. Bring your own tartar sauce.

Well that's what you get for trading Babe Ruth, and kicking people with smelly old goats out of stadiums.
