This is sort of a spin off of Nick_W's thread about facial hair...

I just got manscaped [bravotv.com] and feel about 10 pounds lighter!

I decided to mow the lawn from neck to waist. Tomorrow I finish up and get manscaped from waist to toes.

So you are getting all the hair on your body shaved off? Sounds very itchy.

for cr*ps sake - way too much info! come on dragonlady, if they get to talk about this I'm sure we can debate for hours on "women's issues" ;)

Ok, I have to ask - all you did was *shorten* your body hair?

Wouldn't that make it rather bristly? I can't imagine any woman putting up with that...

Yup, just shortened the hair. Basically you use a pair of clippers with a length attachment and then run them over the parts of the body that need manscaping.

No, this is not hair removal in the general sense. Just a little bit of maintenance to keep it in check. ;)

No pricklees that I can tell, yet!

Mow The Lawn
If your body hair is freakishly long, try trimming it with an electric hair trimmer. Manscaping done well can make a midsection look thinner and just about anything else look bigger.

Hm, just checked - my chest hair is perhaps 1 & 1/2 inches long (didn't measure it, just 'eyeballing').

However "long" that might seem, I refuse to believe that "shortening" would do anything but make it itch.

Besides, one of these days, if I really get the urge to do something, imho, electrolysis is the only way to go - get the job done permanently.

Hang on - won't it just come back twice as strong, twice as fast next time?

That is if you shave it completely off with a razor.....we are talking about trimming with a buzzer.

Not from my experience.

years ago i thought i'd try shaving 'body hair', the itching when it comes back isn't worth it - or the stuble you get for the first week or so while it grows back

According to my Manscaping Consultant, there shouldn't be much discomfort. If so, only during the first few days afterwards. I was left with about .25 of hair so it is beyond the nub stage. I'm also moisturizing to prevent the itch.

Hehehe, didn't realize I had a eight pack hidden under there. Time to go to the beach. Hey, I've had a life changing experience!

only manscaping I've experimented was on my biceps for the patch I was using to quit smoking, can't imagine doing the whole body.

i think WebmasterWorld is now:). Check SERPS on Monday, this place will be #1.

WebmasterWorld everywhere: is there a keyword this site doesn't dominate?
