I had to laugh at this spam...

My getting your address is the handwork of the almighty god.

I mean really, would someone respond to this:

Dear sir,

I do hope my letter will not embarrass you since I had no previous correspondence with you. My getting your address is the handwork of the almighty god. Since then, I have been very much hopeful that you will help us irrespective of the fact that the present world is full of dishonesty and distrust. First and foremost, I must solicit your strictest confidence in this transaction and I pray that my decision to contact you will be given genuine approval considering the facts we have not known each other before; I wish to use this opportunity to introduce myself to you.

I am (Mr. Patrick Addo) from Liberia, West Africa. I write to inform you my desire to invest, and to buy a living house in your country. I am the first son of Mr. Weah Addo; my father was a diamond/gold merchant in my country.

on and on and on...

A truly funny way to wake up this morning! Have a fine day,

-Jon

I had an interesting one this morning - "watch uncensored couples explode"... Now, I can see where it is going, but I had a laugh still...

Hey, if God's on his side he must be alright. Puts me in mind of a very funny quote from William Burroughs, but I can't bring myself to post it for fear of offending somebody...

> uncensored couples explode

LOL! That just put the strangest picture in my head :)

>> full of dishonesty and distrust

I always feel I can trust people, when the first thing they tell me is that everyone is dishonest. :)

Jon_King, if you've got the time string him along. It can be a lot of fun. There are whole sites devoted to the art!

my similar one this morning was:

blah..."Your help urgently for both SAFE KEEPING and
INVESTING this money in your country. You are one of the
three email contacts given to me by a Cyber Cafe' operator
on my request for a foreign contact."...and so on...

One of only three! - I felt very privileged - and, needless to say, got straight back to him with my bank details...
