He must be sleeping now. I've been watching for a while and all the lights are out...maybe I'll watch a little while longer...there's nothing on the tube tonight.

Yes I just noticed that - it's clear blue skies there at the moment as I was looking at it earlier (the camera is below the lobsters with the sky above providing the lighting) - maybe a technical glitch of some kind.

Oh for Pete's sake, people...

My boyfriend once wrote a screensaver, the premise of which being that it would find a random webcam and display that on your screen.

He thought it would be really cool, and he worked on it for a long time.

In the end, though, it ended up being not that cool, because most webcams are desperately boring.

Now he has it set to the Tappan Zee Bridge webcam so he can check out the traffic. But sometimes, late at night, the employees fool around with the pan-and-zoom cameras, and you can watch some entertaining shots of the lights in Nyack, or a horizon-glimpse of the George Washington Bridge. Mostly it's kind of hallucinatory...
