Two quick questions for an informal survey:

What's the first thing you think of when you read the word "Lamoth"?
How would you think it's pronounced?

Thanks for you time (in advance :)

What's the first thing you think of when you read the word "Lamoth"?

A cross between a Lama and Wooly Mamouth. I guess that would have to be mythical.

How would you think it's pronounced?

la[1]-moth[2]

[1] as in "a la"
[2] as the insect "moth"

Are you trying to think of something to do with lamoth.com? We've all done that; come home from the pub drunk and bought a silly domain name.

I speak French and the first thing I can think of is that piece of grassy dirt, bad golfers tear out while driving. "la motte" is the propper spelling.

Second thing is a small French village.

<sidenote> My english speaking friend was staring at the ceiling.

I say : What are you staring at?

Trying some of his best French, he replies :

Je regarde le mouche au plafond. (Looking at that fly on the ceiling)

I say "la mouche" not "le mouche".

He says : Wow! You really have a sharp vision Macguru! ;)
