Important Security Update for the .NET Messenger Service

Anyone else getting bombarded with this email?

I've had 15 so far; purports to be from Microsoft; looks official enough, and the links within the email point to the official Microsoft Messenger download site.

Only strange thing is that the originating mail server purports to be "*.hmdelivery.com" (Hotmail Delivery?); now of course this can be forged; but the whois for hmdelivery.com is masked behind register.com's account masking service.

I can't think why Microsoft would desire to use account masking on their hotmail service domains....?

I received one & deleted the header before downloading. Could be legit but MSN IM lets you know itself when there's an update. Sounds too much like that support@microsoft.com that was making the rounds.
