Defining Moments

I was travelling to my office this morning on a rather crowded train when I felt a tap on my shoulder from someone behind me.

I turned around and found a very attractive young lady saying something to me. I was just about to let loose the 1000 watts of personality plus when I realised she was offering her seat to an aged peson.... me. That's a first.

One of the problems with getting older is that while the body usually looks its age, the brain thinks its still 25!

Had a defining moment when I was about 14

A toddler asked me if I was a 'big boy' or 'somebody's daddy'.

Been pondering on that one for 30 years - think I am nearly ready to answer now.

I work at a university. It happened to me when I realized that the kids who were enrolling were literally half my age.

And that was several years ago. Sigh....
