Do we have a candidate for CA Governor?

This is somewhat serious, does anyone here think that if the webmaster community as a whole were to get behind a candidate for CA governor, it would work?

We need a member from CA and $3,500.00.

Since there are smut peddlers, actors and a few pets running, I don't think this is so absurd.

It might be cool to test the "influence" of the community.

As I know next to nothing about how american politics work (Florida's vote last time got me completely stumped over who, what and why), can you tell me why he can't run for it?

By the way, for those unfamiliar with American election law, Arnold can't be elected president - he is not a natural-born US citizen.

I do think a WebmasterWorld candidate would have been a great idea - no doubt we could have garnered some significant PR (as in Public Relations, not Page Rank). Good thought - just verbalized too late :(

Unfortunately we're not allowed to go much into politics, here so i can't make this joke about the gorilla and the pavian monkey that compete in the presidental elections. Anyway, my money's on arnold. Too sad he can't get president. :)

I was just out there this past weekend. (Sunburnt... owch. pasty northerners should be more careful with sunscreen.) What a wacky place! Most everyone seemed amused by it, at least.
Go Ah-nuld! He's a funny guy. Doesn't mean he'd be a good governor, but at least it would be a blatant illustration of how stupid American politics have become.
