Moving to Australia ¦ not yet anyhow

Approaching 30 what are the option

Downunder is a difficult place to get in when you are going to be 30. Anybody know any methods. I was thinking of the option of setting up shop there or is there something else.

One popular method at the moment is to get 500 or so of your mates, pack yourselves onto a rickety ol' fishing boat that is only intended for about 30 people, and set sail from Indonesia through shark infested waters.

The trick, of course, lies in being able to get to Aussie waters before the gunships arrive, or the boat sinks.

An easier way is to go to NZ, claim some sort of political asylum ('cos we let absolutely anyone in, in the interests of looking fashionable on the world stage), wait a couple of years for your residency to come thru, and then hop across the ditch to Aussie.

It's easy when you know how.

I'm thinking those sharks are looking mighty friendly...

It's such a pain to immigrate. I thought briefly of running away to Europe (I still think of it now and then) but the paperwork was just too much to contemplate.
Sigh...
They say it's a small world but I don't know about that yet.
