Hello, everyone. My name is Diego, and I am a graduate student in Computer Information Systems (since it is my first post here, I figured a small introduction would be appropriate). I am currently researching for an article that will be dealing with search engines and their impact on privacy, both in reality and as perceived by the media and general public.

I have found this forum to be of great value in learning about the way search engines developed and work, and I have also found that a lot of very knowledgeable people usually post here, so I am taking the liberty of asking for some help in my research. I hope thiis question is being posted in the correct place, and if it is not, I please ask a moderator or administrator to move it to a more appropriate forum.

Namely, I am looking for any information that anyone could have on lawsuits or legal confrontations involving Google (or any other major search engines) concerning privacy issues. I will be extremely grateful for whatever references anyone might contribute, and I will of course be sure to acknowledge these contributions in the final version of the article, if (hopefully) it gets published.

Once again, thank you very much for your help.
