I just got the "google friends" yahoo newsletter and in it was a rather interesting link.

http*//www.google.com/press/testimonials.html

It's stories about how google has helped change a person's life in both large and small ways. I don't know how long this has been around but it's rather amusing to read. It almost feels like an infomercial about how google can make you a better, stronger person.

I like to think of it as Webmaster World changing my life with the help of Google.

A few months back I was sitting at my desk optimizing a site for Google and the phone rang.

I checked out the caller id and it was "Google Inc" New York City. For all those here who eat, sleep, and breathe Google, you can understand why a phone call from them seemed strange.

I picked it up and it was a recruiter telling me about a sales management position. I guess he got my name from a ways back when I worked for another large Internet company.

I told him "Thanks, but I doubt you can pay me more than what Google is already paying me" We both got a chuckle.

Then he asked me which sites I operated. This is where the conversation ended....

Google certainly has changed my life.

We have a love-hate relationship. On the one hand Google has helped me obtain financial freedom. On the other, I have lost much of my hair and am only 30. :)
