LOL - spot on. Only I wonder if the crew of the container ship followed the adventures as well.

The real story is the following:

10000 cargo containers are lost overboard every year. Amazing.

I wish a cargo container of rum would wash up on my shores :)

I once found a light beer on a lake, but it was so battered I didn't trust drinking it (and who drinks light beer anyways?)

A little scary, though. The ocean's big and powerful and scares me.

I think it would be funny to find a rubber ducky in the ocean. But it would never occur to me to think of how long it had been in the ocean!

"I wish a cargo container of rum would wash up on my shores :)"

2 years ago a ship was trying to dock in Durban harbour(probably the biggest harbour in africa) during the cyclonic surf that came over from Madagascar. Anyways it's hull bust open and the ship still managed to get to the harbour but throught the rip in the hull boxes of cargo fell out and landed on the most popular beach. Skate shoes and running shoes from all the biggest brands around the world.

Needless to say I got away with 4 pairs of shoes left them to dry in the sun and all was like christmas;-)
