I found an ecommerce site called Googlegear.

Our Name: And lastly, perhaps we also stand out because of our unusual name! The name Googlegear stems from the mathematical term "googol" (or google)--the number one followed by 100 zeros. It reflects our aim to offer a google of "gear" for computer enthusiasts.

I have never heard of this site, anyway I figured I should post this in Foo not Google News.

I found this:
Later, another mathematician devised the term googolplex for 10 to the power of googol - that is, 1 followed by 10 to the power of 100 zeros.

Notice the spelling of googolplex.

For those in the UK, you may recall this was the "million pound question" in "Who wants to be a millionaire"

Twas "the major" that answered it correctly, then to have his prize money withheld, and later lost in court, because of the "coughs" that were his low tech key to cheating.
