Geo - thing or no thing?

I've been having this long running convo in email with a bunch of people about GEO and how messy it all is for marketers. So I put this together.

“If the data is telling us that only 23% of the web is using Schema, and it also shows that 40% of the results in AIO’s are using Schema, it is a safe bet that there is a filter, a ranking bonus, or cull being applied somewhere in the algo stack for structured data. So why wouldn’t we use it?”
