I have finally answered the tabs versus spaces debate

Conclusive evidence....

"It's been a long time since I wrote any code"*, but today while writing something I have finally solved this religious debate once and for all.

The answer is spaces.

And the reason is simple - with 6 indents (4 spaces each obvs) you can play the intro to Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll (from Led Zeppelin IV).

Case. Closed.

Some years back, after my father died, I received a box of my vinyl records that had been sitting in his garage for lo these many decades.* There were plenty that I remembered, some I absolutely didn’t ... and I was more than a little irritated to not find certain well-remembered essentials such as Led Zeppelin bootlegs and everything the Yardbirds ever recorded. I suspect my brothers. Hmph.

* In consequence, I had to buy a record player, and one of these days I will head for the local brick-and-mortar audio store to add bluetooth speakers. But I digress.

I mean, rationally, I'd agree - tabs are, by far, the sensible option.

But I've never been able to shake that spaces habit.
